The end is nigh

The final fixture of the year approaches – the Winter Meeting at Littlestone GC.

Always proves to be a memorable weekend and this year we sadly say goodbye the class of 1986.

And of course, the much anticipated final of these years SEJ Knockout will be played on the blustery links.

See y’all there.

Summer Meeting

As always, the Summer Meeting takes place at Royal Ashdown Forest.

Record numbers turned out to play on a sunny Saturday.

Much to everyone’s surprise, including is own, Samir Nanji won the scratch. Alistair Robinson also came up trumps securing the Nett with an impressively high total.

Summer is in full swing

We are approaching the midway point in the SEJ Calendar.

With the Walton Heath Triangular, matches at Denham, West Sussex and Royal Ashdown Forest all completed, the SEJ’s head up to Huntercombe on Sunday.

The first SEJ Beach Volley Ball outing took place last Saturday with great success. It may prove to be a permanent fixture. Great work by Lucy and Will for organising that.

The Summer Meeting at Royal Ashdown Forest on July 27th is the next big gathering. Keep an eye out for an email coming your way soon!

Next Match – Walton Heath Triangular

Midway through April, 6 matches of 2014 Calendar have already been played – Rye, Cambridge University, Oxford University, Worplesdon, Aldeburgh and Walton Heath.

The next match is played again at Walton Heath – the Triangular on the 4th May. Teams from SEJ Alumni, Walton Heath Members, SEJ Boys and Girls will contest the match. Brendan is your organizer. The email has already been sent out.

Walton Heath

After a close morning foursomes that saw the SEJ’s trailing 5-4, something must have been in the water, or more likely in the wine as the SEJs positively out did themselves winning all but one match in the afternoon to make the final result 12-6. James Pearson, SEJ Captain this year, decided it was his duty to take one for the team and lost his match in his usually well dressed manner.
