Dear Current SEJs, Ex-SEJs and Guests,

I feel thrilled and honoured to write to you all as the 2021 Captain of the South Eastern Junior Golfing Society. Like all facets of life during 2020 and the early exchanges of 2021, the SEJs have had to adapt to the uncertain environment posed by Covid-19. With the enormous human impact on our families, friends and connections across the (golfing) world, we can consider ourselves fortunate that the SEJ community remains resolute and looking toward a brighter future. The SEJs has given me a huge amount of enjoyment in my four years as a member and I am abuzz at the prospect of leading such a special and notable society.

Since its inception in 1957, the SEJs has continued to operate in the same way – namely providing young golfers based in the South of England with a chance to play mixed foursomes golf on a number of the most prestigious and best courses in the country.

With a full fixture list alongside a variety of other events over the course of the year such as an annual black-tie dinner, summer tour and regular social events, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

We are always open to hearing from potential new members and in particular, from those who are recent movers to London and are looking for an opportunity to play affordable golf with a similar aged and minded group. The benefit of the U28 age limit of the SEJs is that the membership continues to evolve which hopefully creates a welcoming atmosphere for potential new joiners. Should you be interested in further details then please do not hesitate to contact our Membership Secretary, Talisa Wilmot.

I look forward to hopefully seeing you all on the course or in the clubhouse over the course of the year.

Fore right,

Calum Moultrie

SEJ Captain 2021
